"Continued Slowing of Disease Progression."
That is uniQure's own headline on additional Phase I/II data for AMT-130 in Huntington's disease. $QURE is -44.69% before the bell on it.
The title and the quote don't actually contradict each other. "Slowing" tells you which way the needle moved. The price is reacting to how far it moved, and a headline adjective never supplies that number. The company writes the title. Whoever reads past it writes the gap.
The same pattern shows up this morning at #BYSI. Its headline carries an FDA Fast Track designation for plinabulin plus a "strategic transaction" to advance a Phase 3 trial, and it sits -25.89%. Two favorable headlines, two lower quotes.
If the gap-down holds into the open, the cross-stock record offers no rescue plan. Across 971 prior sessions where a stock opened 30% or more lower (price above $1), 59% closed below their own open and 40% closed above it. That record comes from other companies' sessions, and it gives no odds for this one.
The headline also says "ongoing." The studies aren't finished, and the headline doesn't settle the question.
