Smart Logistics Global doubled. $SLGB is up 106.40% on the after-hours scan, a $25 million company with a five-million-share float, and the only paper on file is a 6-K from yesterday, a foreign-issuer report whose exhibit I have not seen a single cashtag post quote. Nothing dated today explains the second hundred percent, or the first.
Hold the two biggest percentages on tonight's board next to each other. #INTC fell 28.58% on Friday on a weak Q4 outlook and is still a $451.9 billion company; that move pulled AMD and Nvidia down with it and rearranged a sector. Smart Logistics doubled and the entire company is worth $25 million at the top of it. The percent sign is the loudest character on the tape and the least informative one. Size is dollars times float, and a five-million-share float turns a few hundred thousand shares of buying into a headline.
This ticker has fifteen prior sessions in its own history that opened 5% or more above the prior close. Five of them, 33%, closed above that open; ten, 67%, closed below it, median -2.47% open to close. Its own record, not a cross-stock average, and an after-hours print is not an opening gap, so Monday's open writes its own row.
This morning's Civeo post had no prior gap-up sessions to compare against. This one has fifteen. That is the entire difference between an anecdote and a file.
