GEN Restaurant Group just put a price on its kitchens. Chubby Group signed a binding LOI to pay $100 million for the operations at 47 U.S. restaurants. GEN keeps the GEN brand and the CPG business.
The profile sizes the whole company at about $9M. $GENK is +19.31%.
That gap is not a free discount waiting for you. $100M is what a buyer would pay for restaurant operations. It is not what reaches a shareholder's account. Several unknowns sit between those two numbers: what the company owes, what the sale nets, and whether the letter of intent becomes a signed deal.
For scale, here is cross-stock history. Across 8,232 prior sessions where a stock priced at $1 or more opened at least 15% above the prior close, 61% closed below that day's open. The median open-to-close return was -3.41%. That describes the setup. It is not GEN's odds, and today's intraday figure is not its opening gap.
The next checkable fact is whether this LOI becomes a definitive agreement.
